Rwanda’s leasing industry grows to $ 20 million

"Monitor CorrespondentKigaliRwanda’s leasing sector has grown significantly in the past year. It is currently being estimated at $20m. This was disclosed recently during the launch of the Rwanda Leasing Association which is meant to promote leasing in Rwanda.

During the launch the International Finance Corporation (IFC), a member of the World Bank Group partnered with Rwanda’s leading financial institutions to launch the leasing association.

The three institutions include the Commercial Bank of Rwanda (BCR), the Banque Rwandaise de Developpement (BRD) and FINA Bank whose representative signed agreements sealing the set up of the association."
