"Banque Populaire du Rwanda and Rabo Development have signed a number of agreements that will give Rabobank a 35% interest in the former.
Banque Populaire du Rwanda (BPR) will be Rabo Development's partner bank following partnerships in Tanzania, China, Zambia, Mozambique and Paraguay.

Arnold Kuijpers, managing director of Rabo Development, said: "We are impressed by what BPR has already achieved in the recent past. The commitment of the board of BPR and the support of the Central Bank to accommodate our partnership has been equally impressive.""
