Rwandair Express has ceased using paper tickets technically referred to as Prepaid Ticket Advice (PTAs) and is now 100 per cent e-ticketing.
The Rwandan national air carrier whose operations have recently been marred with controversy with interline partner, Kenya Airways, has switched to electronic ticketing beating the International Air Transport Association (IATA) June 1 deadline.
This means that as of the 1st of June 2008 paper tickets can no longer be issued on neutral stock by agencies. It also means that Rwandair offices have begun issuing e-tickets for all destinations were Rwandair flies.
These destinations include Nairobi, Bujumbura, Entebbe, Kilimanjaro, Johanesburg and Kamembe.
